Frequently Asked
Questions
- What kind of music do you play?
We have a large repertoire and we focus on keeping dancefloor busy. Our set is drawn from every popular music era, and includes all your favourites and classics as well as current chart hits – something for everyone. - Do you play ceilidh?
Yes, we can intersperse live ceilidh dances throughout the evening, and can call the dances if required. We can also include a Grand March according to your needs. - Can you play our first dance?
We aim to please, and if possible, we will learn and perform your first dance song. If it’s something a bit unusual, our singer may be able to sing it with a backing track, or we can play any version through our PA system for you to experience your original tune! - Do you offer a DJ and/or music for the ceremony/ background music for reception?
Yes! Our keyboard player Paul can play for your ceremony and can also provide background music for your drinks reception, as well as a DJ set late into the night after the band. Also, our guitarist Dave can offer smooth jazz/soul/r&b backing music, or Dave and Jen can provide an acoustic set – just let us know your requirements and we’ll include them in your quote. - How long do you play for?
A typical evening band set is four hours including a break. Most weddings we play from 8-12 or 8.30-12.30 but we can adapt to your needs. For charity events we can be flexible and fit in with your event. - Can you play my charity event?
We frequently play at charity events and fundraisers. Please get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss this with you… - Can we come and hear you?
Most of our gigs are weddings or private functions, but we can often arrange for you to pop into a wedding to see us playing live – please ask us about this! - Do we need to pay a deposit?
Yes. Once you have decided, we require a 20% deposit to secure the booking for you. - What about equipment and set up time?
We have all our own equipment, and once we have access to the room we can be ready to perform in an hour. - Can you play my playlist at the break?
We can provide background music through our PA before and in between sets – if you want us to provide a specific setlist then we can easily accommodate that.
